College Baseball: OSU's Bazzana named Second Team All-American

Oregon State's Travis Bazzana #37 looks to throw to first base for the double play. The Oregon State Beavers upset the No. 25 Oregon Ducks 12-2 in the three-game series at PK Park on April 9, 2023, in Eugene, Ore. Oregon State took an early lead in the top of the first inning 5-0 with a grand slam. Oregon ended up using eight pitchers to stop Oregon State's scoring rhythm but only could for four innings as they scored five runs in the last two. Oregon pitchers combined allowed two home runs and nine hits. It wasn't until the bottom eighth that Oregon had a hit. Oregon State snapped Oregon's 11-game winning streak. Starting pitcher Logan Mercado allowed a solo home run in the top of the fourth land and left in the fifth inning up 2-1. Matthew Grabmann allowed a three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning, giving Oregon State the lead, and ended up being the difference in the game.
