A massive fire broke out at an incinerator plant in Montgomery County Thursday evening, according to Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

A pile of trash that was approximately 85 feet high and hundreds of yards wide caught on fire at the plant that is located at 21204 Martinsburg Road and spread to the building, according to Piringer.
According to officials, firefighters arrived on the scene to fire and heavy smoke showing from a "huge" pile of trash.
Around 75 firefighters battled the fire for over 12 hours. The fire was brought under control by late Thursday evening but was still in the process of being extinguished by late Friday morning.
