Fisherman catches massive brook trout in eastern Idaho, falls just short of 40-year-record

An angler caught a huge Brook trout at Henrys Lake in eastern Idaho last weekend.

According to Idaho Fish and Game, the catch of 6.89 pounds missed the record by just a few ounces.

The current record stands at 7.06 pounds and is almost 40 years old.

Henrys Lake is one of Idaho's great high mountain lakes located 15 miles west from Yellowstone National Park.
