Workers jumped from burning building as fire erupted at Denver construction site

Eyewitnesses posted videos of flames and smoke above the Denver skyline Wednesday.

DENVER, Ore. (KDVR via CNN) - Workers jumped from a buidling to escape a fire that broke out at a construction site in downtown Denver wednesday afternoon.

Officials were still working to locate everyone known to have been on scene at the time.

A firefighter was also hurt in the three-alarm blaze.

One person was critically injured and four people were treated for smoke inhalation.

Six buildings were affected by the fire.

At least one is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still unclear, but officials think liquid petroleum may have exploded.
