ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The YMCA in Roseburg is making sure its employees stay healthy while on the job.
The organization is now a Blue Zones project-approved worksite.
Blue Zones Project Umpqua is a community-led well-being initiative to help people make healthier lifestyle choices.
The YMCA is helping employees with healthy eating, recipes, and volunteering in the community.
"Not only focus on our mission to build strong kids--strong families and communities--but to say, you know, we can really help people make healthier choices, live better, and live longer," explained YMCA's Marisa Fink.
The YMCA has been working since last summer to get approved.
Blue Zones now has seven approved worksites in Douglas County.
