Umpqua Health Alliance invites public to Thursday meeting, offers free classes
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Umpqua Health Alliance is holding its Community Advisory Council public meeting this week, and the public is invited.
The meeting takes place on Thursday, June 8, at 5:30 p.m. at 621 W. Madrone St. in Roseburg.
Light refreshments will be provided and children are welcome at the event.

Additionally, Umpqua Health Alliance and Optimal Health Management are offering two series of classes for people looking for methods to manage stress, mental health symptoms or pain management.
Guided Imagery Classes, led by Jessica Brake, LPC, C.ht., are every Wednesday beginning June 7 and runs through November 15 from 5:15-6:15 p.m.
Mindfulness Meditation Classes, led by Meredith Krugel, LCSW, Mindfulness Teacher, are every Thursday beginning June 8 and every Thursday in August from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
The classes are free and open to anyone age 18 and older.
The classes will teach attendees how to reduce stress, develop positive coping, and improve self esteem, the Alliance said.
