EUGENE, Ore. - Two people were arrested near the University of Oregon Campus on Friday night after shots were fired and an unrelated person was hit by a stray bullet.
At 12:14 a.m. on Saturday, Eugene Police responded to a large group fighting and several gunshots that were heard near 17th and Ferry.
An 18-year-old woman that was unrelated to the group had been driving on 15th and Ferry, and was hit by a stray bullet. The girl was taken to the hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The EPD arrested one man at the scene, identified as Christopher Tyreek Alexander, 20, from Portland. He is being charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Interfering, and Theft in the First Degree Possession of a Firearm.
A second suspect was later arrested, identified as Dylan Robert Brown, age 19, from Portland. He was located by UOPD at 18th and University in the cemetery. He was charged with Trespass with a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
