Two men arrested in Douglas County on separate cases of online sex crimes
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — Two men were arrested in Douglas County on Saturday related to two separate investigations for online sex crimes.
Around 10 a.m., Jared Kyle Dean, 23, drove to Myrtle Creek to meet with who he believed to be a 15-year-old female for sexual contact. According to the investigation, Dean had been talking to the girl via social media for about a week.
When he arrived in Myrtle Creek, he met officers instead of the girl and was taken into custody. He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of first and second degree Online Sexual Corruption of a Child and the misdemeanor warrant.
Later in the day, around 2:45 p.m., Ryan Anthony Robbins, 38, was also arrested for sex crimes. Robbins had agreed to meet with an underage girl for sex, but agreed to meet with the girl at the Happy Valley boat ramp.
Instead of meeting the girl, Robbins was met with deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. He was also lodged at the Douglas county Jail on charges of first and second degree Online Sexual Corruption of a Child.
