RIDDLE, Ore. -- Fire agencies in southern Douglas County extinguished two mill fires Monday morning.

Crews were still suppressing the fire at 10:38 a.m. when the departments were paged to another commercial fire at the Roseburg Forest Products (Engineered Wood Products) plant for a fire in the chip bins, the report said.
Riddle, Myrtle Creek, and Tri City fire crews responded and, due to the D.R. Johnson fire, the Riddle department requested assistance from Winston-Dillard and Lookingglass fire departments.
There were no injuries reported.
Both fires were contained to the chip bins and both were caused by mechanical failure, officials said.
