Sheriff: 911 service affected by telephone outage in Riddle area

    RIDDLE, Ore. - A telephone service outage in the Riddle area is affecting approximately 293 Frontier customers, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday around noon.

    "The outage may prevent those affected from dialing 9-1-1," the sheriff's office said. "Those customers can still reach emergency dispatchers by dialing 9-1-1 from a cell phone, if they have service. Otherwise, the Riddle Fire Department has been staffed with personnel until further notice."
