ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Salsa Company is handing out more than just a tasty topping.
The company's owners say their salsa products are helping to fund educational programs.
Roseburg Salsa has partnered with an online GED program and they're also teaching students at Milo Academy in Days Creek how to run a business.
"Creating this kind of a partnership between a business and an actual education institution, we're creating unique opportunities for students to get hands-on work and education at the same time, and we think that's a really powerful thing," says Roseburg Salsa Company CEO Robert Kalchert.
Kalchert says teaming up businesses with schools can have a big impact on the community.
