ROSEBURG, Ore. - The City of Roseburg is one step closer to having a public library again, and this week, the City Council talked about financing the library along with creating a Roseburg Library Commission.

Funding would include gifts, grants and donations, and City Officials say the library commission would have a specific role to help the city.

"Recommendations to city council about programming, about funding and budgetary issues similar to our other commissions," said Lance Colley, the Roseburg City Manager.

City Officials are hoping to have the library open again by September.
