Roseburg Elks Poker Run on June 2 will help fund eye clinic
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The 7th annual Roseburg Elks Poker Run for the Oregon Elks Children's Eye Clinic is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, and open to automobiles and motorcycles.
Two, three and four-wheeled motorists are invited to come and enjoy a friendly hand of poker while touring 100 miles with predetermined destinations of the Umpqua Valley.
The poker route begins and ends at the Roseburg Elks Lodge at 749 SE Jackson Street in downtown Roseburg.
For each seven-card draw poker hand, players will pay $5 per hand. First hand dealt is at 9:30 a.m. and all participants are to be back to the Lodge by 2 pm.
Participants are encouraged to come early to check out door prizes and raffle items or enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast for $7 at the Lodge.
This all-day event is to raise funds for the Oregon Elks Children's Eye Clinic which is located in the Portland area on the Oregon Health & Sciences University campus.
The Oregon Elks Children’s Eye Clinic will be having a special groundbreaking ceremony, also on June 2, at 2 p.m. in Portland for a brand new building.
