Police: Woman arrested after she's unable to pay $583 Portland-to-Roseburg cab fare


ROSEBURG, Ore . -- A Tacoma, Wash., woman was arrested Thursday after she was unable to pay for a large taxicab ride.

According to a Roseburg Police Department report, a PDX Yellow Cab employee reported he transported 37-year-old Jennifer Reed to Roseburg from the Portland International Airport and when they arrived she was not able to pay the $583 fare.

She was arrested just after 11 p.m. Thursday at the Motel 6 on NW Aviation.

Reed was transported to Douglas County Corrections where she was cited for second-degree theft of services and released.
