ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg man was arrested following a dispute at a Roseburg residence Sunday, police said.

According to a Roseburg Police Department report, 20-year-old Christian Randall Richards and his live-in girlfriend got into a verbal disturbance in their trailer at Mt. Nebo trailer park.

The girlfriend asked two of her friends to come pick her up.

When they arrived, Richards threatened them with a knife and took a "slashing swipe" at one of them, police said.

Richards then threw a half-full mason jar of peaches at the other friend as he held his girlfriend's 1-year-old son, according to the report.

The jar ricocheted off of her shoulder and struck the side of her friend's Dodge Neon, the report said.

Police said the jar "exploded peaches on the side of the car and left a dent on the door."

Richards was arrested at his residence without incident.

He's charged with two counts of Reckless Endangering, two counts of Menacing, Harassment, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and second degree Criminal Mischief.

Richards was lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
