Police: Drunk driver caused 4-car crash in Hwy 126 construction zone east of Veneta

A drunk driver with a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit crashed her small car into a pickup stopped in a highway construction zone early Wednesday morning on Highway 126W between Eugene and Veneta, Oregon State Police said. The impact was powerful enough to push the pickup into an SUV and trailer in front of it - and push that vehicle into the pickup stopped for the flagger, police said. The flagger was not injured.
