Narcotics team arrest pair in Sutherlin, one with outstanding arrest warrant

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- During the late night hours of Wednesday, July 18, Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team detectives, along with help from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in Sutherlin that had been southbound on Interstate 5 at a high rate of speed.

The passenger, 22-year-old Patrick Todd of Roseburg, was immediately arrested as he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

A search of the vehicle revealed a concealed handgun and approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine, the report said.

Other drug paraphernalia found included scales, packaging materials, and syringes, police said.

Todd was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Felon in Possession of Firearm.

36-year-old Bradley Evans of Winston was cited and released on the charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, police reported.
