Medicare seminar to be held in Roseburg
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - Learning about Medicare can sometimes be confusing, but a program in Roseburg wants to help seniors learn more about it.
The Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance Program is putting on a Medicare 101 seminar.
According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, about 18% of Oregonians enrolled in Medicare in 2013. The program wants to help people in Douglas County get the information they need.
"Have somebody sit down and explain it to you, you really don't know what your options are," said Toni Rudolph, with the SHIBAP. "So this is an opportunity for folks to become aware of what the options are."
If you would like to know the basics of Medicare, the seminar is set for January 18th from 6-8:30 p.m. in Roseburg.
