Level 3 evacuation area expanded for Chetco Bar Fire

BROOKINGS, Ore. — The Curry County Sheriff's Office has expanded the area under a Level 3 Evacuation Order.

The expanded area includes residences along Carpenterville Road which like north of Bosley Butte Road along Summit Ridge and north to Sundown Mountain.

Residents within this area should leave immediately.

The area under a Level 2 Evacuation Order has also expanded. All areas lying west of the level 3 evacuation area are now in level 2 evacuation, meaning residents should be prepared to leave at moments notice.
