'85 Roseburg High grad named new chief of Douglas County Fire District No. 2
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Douglas County Fire District No.2 Board Chairman Paul Jackson announced at the conclusion of the monthly Board of Directors meeting the appointment of Rob Bullock as the District’s new Fire Chief.
Chief Bullock has been responsible for the oversight of emergency services delivery, and for the implementation and management of several other support programs.
These programs include human resources, governmental affairs, employee training, professional development, and logistics.
He was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief in 2013 and has been leading the District and managing its day- to-day operations since April 2017 when the fire chief position became vacant.
Chief Bullock earned a Bachelor of Arts in Emergency Management from Grand Canyon University in 2014. He is also a 2017 graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program from the United States National Fire Academy in Maryland.
Chief Bullock grew up in Roseburg and is a graduate of Roseburg High School in 1985.
Since he joined the District as a volunteer in 1986, Chief Bullock has held every rank in the district throughout his career.
He's been with Douglas County Fire District for over 30 years and currently resides in Roseburg with his wife Lori.
