64-year-old dies in motorcycle accident near Brownsville
BROWNSVILLE, Ore. - A single-vehicle motorcycle accident ended in a fatality on Saturday evening near the 25000 block of Gap Road just south of Brownsville.
A preliminary investigation reveals that Steven Ray Bailey, 64, was traveling with a companion on a separate motorcycle when Bailey's bike left the southbound lane of travel through a ditch and collided with a driveway culvert.
Deputies believe that speed was a contributing factor in the crash. CPR was performed on Bailey by a bystander and emergency personnel for approximately 30 minutes before Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene.
