President Trump thanks Kanye West for his support after Kimmel appearance

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel's show last night, Kanye West stayed silent when asked if President Trump cares for black people.

West discussed his support for the president, and questioned why people go after the president instead of trying "love."

Kimmel then mentioned West's famous 2005 line about George Bush during Hurricane Katrina:

You've so famously and so powerfully said 'George Bush doesn't care about black people,' it makes me wonder what makes you think that Donald Trump does, or any people at all?

West considered the question without answering before Kimmel took a commercial break.

This prompted the president to thank West for his support on Twitter, tweeting:

Thank you Kanye for your support. It is making a big difference!

The rapper started supporting President Trump this year.

In the past, he was photographed with his wife, Kim Kardashian West, and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
