UO football player arrested for DUII
EUGENE, Ore. – A University of Oregon football player had a run-in with the law Saturday.
UO wide receiver Darren Carrington was arrested early Saturday morning on a DUII charge.
According to Eugene Police Department, Carrington was arrested at 3 a.m. after colliding with a pole in the McDonald's drive-thru on E. Broadway near downtown Eugene.
In a statement made by head coach Willie Taggart, he has been suspended indefinitely from the team.
Carrington is out on bail and being cited for careless driving and improper right turn.
