Irish and Colts roll, will meet next Friday

Sheldon scored touchdowns on its first three possessions in blowing by Roseburg 49-14 Friday night to remain unbeaten on the season (7-0).

Yadie Dunmore's 10 yard rushing touchdown began the scoring for the Irish. After Roseburg went three and out, Sheldon scored on another six play drive capped by Connor Strahm's three yard TD run.

The next Irish possession took just three plays. Taylor Allie connected with Strahm down the left side. Strahm did the rest, shaking a would-be tackler and scoring on a 70 yard reception to make it 21-0 in the first quarter.

Sheldon went on to win 49-14.

The Irish will play at Thurston next week. The Colts defeated visiting Crater 33-10.

Thurston is now 4-1 in Southwest Conference play, just one game behind first place Sheldon.

Friday night highlights from KVAL Sports Friday night included: Sheldon at Roseburg, Crater at Thurston, North Medford at South Eugene, South Umpqua at Sutherlin, Siletz at Lowell.
