Indian Fastpitch looks for 20th straight win Thursday

MEDFORD, Ore. -- Indian Fastpitch, a Roseburg-based summer fastpitch softball team, continued their winning ways Wednesday morning with their 19th straight victory.

The team won its second pool play game against San Marcos, Calif., 8-5, at the ASA Western National Championships.

The Indians pounded out 15 hits in the game, including a 2-run homer by Madsyn Blevins.

Kalie Mann and Maria Bocigalupo each smacked doubles and had 2 RBIs a piece. Alexa Ligon also picked up an RBI.

Nikki Derick pitched a complete game for the win.

Roseburg plays their first bracket game at 11 a.m. Thursday against the Idaho Sooners, where they will try to win their 20th straight.
