Oregon's 2010 victory is lone win in Berkeley since 2001

Pior to defeating California in 2010, Oregon had lost three straight games in Berkeley and had not beaten the Bears at Memorial Stadium since 2001.

"Cal's always played us well on defense," said junior strong safety Brian Jackson. "So, it's probably going to be a defensive game for us. We have to come out as a defense and make all the stops because they usually play us pretty well on defense. So, we know that we're going to have our work cut out for us in order for us to help out our offense."

Coming off that incredibly impressive 62 point performance against USC last Saturday where they scored on every possession except for three, the Ducks now take their high-powered offense on the road again to face Cal in Berkeley where two years ago the Golden Bears held Oregon to just 15 points.

"Just because of who they are," said senior tailback Kenjon Barner. "It's Cal and every year we play them it's a tough game. So, just because they're Cal you have to be on your toes about them."

One of the two touchdowns in the 2010 game against Cal came on a Cliff Harris punt return.

"At any given time, you're going to get teams' best efforts," said red-shirt freshman quarterback Marcus Mariota. "So, you've just got to be prepared."

Following a missed field goal by Cal in the 2010 game, Oregon was able to run out the rest of the clock, consuming the last 9:25 of game time.

"We're a scoring offense," said Barner. "We play fast, but when we need to we can go slow as well."
