Fire danger 'high' in Douglas County

ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Douglas Forest Protective Association will increase the fire danger to "high" for the entire Douglas District effective Wednesday, July 9.

The change in the fire danger is a result of dry fuels and the projected hot, dry weather, DFPA said.

The forest association also plans to raise the level of fire precaution for both recreation and work on forest lands under its watch.
