WATCH: Utah Bomb Squad detonates hand grenade lying in a pile of rocks at RV business
(KUTV) Investigators are trying to figure out how a hand grenade ended up in a rock delivery from Utah County.
On Wednesday, deputies with Carbon County were called to Castle Country RV, located at 4732 N. Highway 6 in the town of Helper, to find a genade sitting on a pile of rock that was recently delivered from Utah County. Officers called in the Utah Bomb Squad, who used two robots to transport the grenade from the rock pile to an eight foot deep hole where it was detonated.
"Castle Country RV Personnel were critical to the response, " according to Carbon County Sheriff's Office Facebook page post. "Their swift observation and continued situational awareness were instrumental in what could have resulted in tragic situation."
