Workshop to be held for aspiring gardeners as we head into Spring

The Douglas County OSU Extension Service is organizing a day-long "Spring into Gardening Workshop."

ROSEBURG, Ore. - With Spring right around the corner, a workshop is being planned to help people in Douglas County learn about gardening.

The Douglas County OSU Extension Service is organizing a day-long "Spring into Gardening Workshop."

Classes include how to build garden soil to growing berry crops. The extension service says the goal of the workship is to give people more hands-on learning.

"We can kind of lead people and guide people through step by step from being a beginner to being a very effective gardener," said Steve Renquist, the Gardening Workshop leader.

The "Spring into Gardening" workshop will be on Saturday, February 24th at Umpqua Community College.
