Wildfire burning out of control in southern Oregon
BONANZA, Ore. - Over 150 people are fighting a wildfire burning out of control in pine forests of southern Oregon.
Fire bosses said the Bryant Fire had grown to 1,250 acres as of Saturday morning in the forests about 20 miles east of Klamath Falls.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters worked through the night, and officials say they are beginning to contain the blaze.
No homes are threatened by the wildfire, however there are structures in the area. Firefighters are assessing how to best defend those structures from the flames, should the fire later prove a threat.
Fire managers said heat and winds in the week's forecast could complicate their strategies for attacking the fire.
