Want to help some kids this Christmas? Go bowling!

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Firefighters from Douglas County Fire District #2 are turning to the public for help making sure that every family has a few presents under their tree this Christmas.

For some people, helping the department raise funds won't be much different from a regular Saturday night.

Officials with the fire district have started the Toys and Joys fundraiser.

They're trying to make sure that kids in need will also have something to open this year.

If you would like to help brighten up the holiday, all it takes is knocking down some pins.

This Saturday from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., Ten Down bowling will donate 10% of the profits to the Toys and Joys program.

There will also be a silent auction and a raffle from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Officials say it's a fun, easy way to help those in need.
