EUGENE, Ore. - University of Oregon President Michael Schill released a statement on Tuesday in light of the recent crimes near the UO Campus.
The statement reads:
We have been very impressed with the way our students and others have stepped up to watch out for their friends and classmates by taking extra precautions, such as walking together and reporting suspicious activities. We are a community that looks after each other.
There are currently 11 active robbery cases in Eugene, and police are currently working to determine whether the suspects they arrested on Monday are at all connected with the string of robberies.
