ROSEBURG, ore. -- Roseburg has a long history - and the Umpqua Valley Arts Association wants you to celebrate it with them.

The Arts Center will host a Centennial Celebration to show the history behind its building.

It was originally a veterans' hospital a hundred years ago.

One of the exhibits will feature veteran-made art.

A center spokesperson says people can learn about the experiences of veterans through art.

"Part of the beauty of it is that we also get the veterans’ stories of where they were stationed, what they experienced, and get to see the relationship," says Andrew Ampter.

The opening is free to the public and will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the arts center.
