Umpqua River Run raises thousands of dollars for Boys & Girls Club of Umpqua Valley
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley is several thousand dollars richer thanks to Roseburg runners.
Runners took over Stewart Park Saturday for the Umpqua River Run, one of the biggest races in the area.
Over 300 runners and 150 volunteers helped raise money for the club.
The half-marathon winners split a $1,000 prize.
The Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley is still calculating the money raised from the event.
They say it will be used for after-school and summer programs.
