Umpqua National Forest hosting workshop on contracting with federal government
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Umpqua National Forest is hosting a workshop on how local small business owners can contract with the federal government.
The session covers the buyer and seller relationship between business owners and the local forest service or BLM.
You might be interested if your business deals with tree planting, timber falling or logging.
"If they're minority owned or woman owned, sometimes they have a hard time competing with business if they're new or competing with established businesses,” says Cheryl Caplan with Umpqua National Forest. “So this is a good opportunity to check in with the contracting officers and find out where you go to even find contracts with the federal government."
The workshop is Tuesday, March 21, at the Umpqua National Forest Service headquarters on Stewart Parkway.
It starts at 10 a.m. and you are asked to RSVP.
