COOS BAY, Ore. -- The springtime sun is shaping up for a great weekend on the coast.
In spite of all the sunshine the coastline was a bit breezy this week, which gave the tall ships a chance to sail into downtown Coos Bay.
Residents got a chance to cool off out at sea by exploring The Lady Washington and The Hawaiian Chieftain.
They are scheduled to visit Coos Bay through May 12 for Tall Ship Days.
Tickets to take trips out to the open ocean can be bought on the Gray's Harbor Historical Seaport website.
During the tours the ships will blast their cannons and provide full interactive tours.
While the Tall Ship Days is just one of many ways to cool off at the coast this weekend, sunscreen is a must, wherever you go.
