Sutherlin Fire to offer emergency response training for anyone interested
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - Anyone living in Douglas County will soon be able to get free disaster training to help their family and first responders in an emergency.
The Sutherlin Fire Department is holding the Community Emergency Response Training starting this weekend, and the training will include first aid and CPR, disaster preparedness and fire safety.
"Protect you and your family during a disaster, and knowing how to get through it and what to do and where to go," said Dennis Riggs, the Emergency Manager for the City of Sutherlin. "It's just invaluable."
The first community emergency response training will be held on Saturday morning at 8:30 at the Sutherlin Fire Station.
