Sheriff: Have you seen this armed and dangerous man?

COOS COUNTY, Ore. -- Police have named a suspect in the shooting that occurred in Bandon last week, and are asking for the public's help in locating him.

On May 2, Coos County Sheriff's Deputies and officers from the Bandon Police Department went to the Southern Coos Hospital for a report that Joseph McNeil, 34, of Bandon, had been shot.

The Sheriff's office says they learned that McNeil had been shot in the right foot. That incident happened in Bandon, and authorities say he was also assaulted in Curry County.

Officials say they believe that James Housego, 27, of Bandon, had shot McNeil while at a residence in Bandon.

Two other people that were at the residence were terrorized by Housego, according to police.

The Sheriff's office conducted a search of Housego's residence in Bandon on Monday, but he has not been located.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding him.

Housego may be with Hidey Crook, 33, and officials say he may be armed with a pistol.

Housego should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.

If Housego is located, please call 911 or contact the Coos County Sheriff's Office at 541-396-2106.
