Sheriff: 1 crash + 1 passed out man = 2 DUII arrests

COOS COUNTY, Ore. -- Coos County Sheriff's deputies say they arrested two men on DUII charges within 5 hours of each other.

On Tuesday at about 7:00 pm, Coos County Sheriff's Deputies, Lakeside Fire, and Lower Umpqua Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash on Hilltop Road in Lakeside.

Deputies say they found a Kia Rio had crashed, but the driver was not injured. They said he was, however, intoxicated.

Clarence Grisham, 77, was arrested and taken to the North Bend Police Department where they say he was found to have a blood alcohol level of .09%.

Grisham was cited and released for DUII.

At about 11:30 pm, a deputy making security checks of the Charleston Boat Basin business area found a white GMC truck with its lights on and engine running in an empty parking lot.

Officials say the deputy found an unconscious male slumped in the driver's seat.

Authorities identified the man as John R. Bader, 41, and say he was found to be under the influence.

Bader was arrested and taken to the Coos County Jail, where they say he had a blood alcohol level .19%.

Bader was also cited and released for DUII.
