ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Two Roseburg residents were hospitalized following a crash Wednesday evening, Douglas County Sheriff's office said.

Around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Douglas County 911 received a report of an injury motor vehicle crash on Buckhorn Road near Little Pheasant in Roseburg.

Deputies determined the 2006 Mazda sedan, driven by 26-year-old Ryan Dickenson of Roseburg, was traveling on Buckhorn Road when it left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest in a field.

Both Dickenson and his 20-year-old passenger, Alexis Campbell of Roseburg, were transported to Mercy Medical Center by ground ambulance.

Dickenson was later transferred to a Portland area hospital by air ambulance.

At this time speed appears to be a contributing factor, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office is continuing its investigation into the crash.
