Roseburg tow truck driver deters wrong-way driver on I-5
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- We're hearing from the man who deterred a wrong-way driver on Interstate 5 near Roseburg this week.
Oregon State Police received a call reporting a wrong-way driver northbound in the southbound lanes near milepost 125.
That's when Christian Gruber, a local driver with Roseburg Towing, sprung into action by blocking the exit.
But he says he doesn't consider himself a hero.
"If you're in a big vehicle and you have the ability to stop someone from causing an accident, I think that's just normal human reaction, to preserve yourself and others from harm."
OSP says they were unable to locate the driver after they were re-directed onto the freeway.
