ROSEBURG, Ore. -- With fire season on its way the City of Roseburg is reminding property owners to maintain all grasses and weeds to a maximum height of 12 inches, City of Roseburg officials said in a news release Tuesday.

As the rain diminishes and temperatures rise, vegetation dries out rapidly and fire danger increases.

With that in mind, all tail weeds and grasses, including blackberry vines near combustibles, must be kept to the 12-inch height restriction as required by the Roseburg Municipal Code.
