Roseburg DMV will no longer do commercial vehicle drive tests

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg branch of the Department of Motor Vehicles is one of three locations that will no longer be doing commercial truck driving tests.

Roseburg, Coos Bay and the Southeast Portland DMV offices will axe the exams starting April 1.

David House, a DMV media representative says the decision was made earlier this month. "We've been looking at reducing a number of places we do commercial truck drive tests for many years now, because there are more and more private drive testers available," House said.

"They also have better flexibility in times and locations that they can do tests," House explained.

You can find alternative testing sites at the Oregon DMV website.
