Renovated pavilion at fairgrounds cause for celebration

ROSEBURG, Ore. - The community celebrated the fairgrounds renovation project at the Douglas County Fair on Thrusday.

Over $1 million was raised to make this project possible.

"We were able to get support from the county. This is a county facility, and then with that support the community stepped up and matched the contribution that the county provided," said Elian Miller on the Pavilion Fundraising Committee. "Last October we didn't know if we would be able to do this, and there was tremendous support. There wasn't a person we talked to who didn't donate."

Miller said this was crucial for the longevity of the building, and will be a great place for 4-H and the public to enjoy for years to come.
