Predatory sex offender to leave prison, live in Roseburg
ROSEBURG, Ore. - A convicted rapist imprisoned for crimes committed in 1991 will be under post-prison supervision in Roseburg starting Friday, Douglas County Community Corrections said.
Mark Eric Reposa, 46, was convicted of First Degree Rape, First Degree Sexual Abuse, First Degree Kidnapping and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle as the result of crimes committed in Roseburg on March 13, 1991.
According to the notification, Reposa assaulted two adult females. Both attacks were crimes of opportunity and not planned. There is no evidence he has ever assaulted a minor.
In one of the cases, Reposa threatened to murder and forcibly rape a woman. In another case, he burglarized an elderly woman's home and raped her.
Oregon law requires community notification when predatory sex offenders are released from prison.
According to the release, Reposa will be released at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, and will reside in the 1400 block of Mill Street.
Reposa will be monitored by GPS and required to report daily to his Parole Officer.
Corrections officials said anyone with concerns about Reposa's conduct should call (541) 957-8148.
