Police: Woman arrested for breaking into car, house

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A woman is behind bars, after authorities say she broke into a car and a house in downtown Roseburg.

Roseburg police were called to a residence in the 1200 block of Mill Street around 1:00 pm on Tuesday, for a reported break in.

Officers say Kristy Kay Parham, 33, had gotten into a car parked in the driveway at the residence, and threw things from the car onto the ground.

Police say she took the registration and insurance card from the car.

Authorities found out that Parham then allegedly went into the house while the owner was gone.

Officers say Parham let other people into the residence as well.

The owner of the residence told police she knew who Parham was, but Parham had neither permission to be in the car, nor permission to be in the house.

Parham was arrested and charged by police with first degree criminal trespass, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third degree theft.

She was lodged in the Douglas County Jail.
