Police seek witnesses to I-5 hit-and-run crash near Sutherlin

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- Oregon State Police are looking for people who may have been witness to a freeway crash in Douglas County Friday morning.

Around 9:38 a.m., troopers responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 158, north of Sutherlin.

Police say a log truck and a white commercial motor vehicle with a white trailer were traveling southbound when they collided.

The white commercial vehicle left the scene but was later found and the driver identified, police said.

OSP is asking any witnesses to this incident or anyone with information to call (503) 375-3555 and reference case number SP17164277.
