Police: Roseburg man arrested after verbal disturbance at store, stealing beer
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Roseburg-area transient is in jail following a disturbance at a local store, according to a Roseburg Police Department report.
Around 4 p.m. Tuesday police were called to what was described as a verbal disturbance between two men at Anderson's Market on W. Harvard Avenue.
23-year-old Dillan Keith Vannucci denied being part of the disturbance but during his interview with responding officers, an Anderson's Market employee informed police that he had stolen a beer from inside the store about an hour prior, the report said.
He had allegedly discarded his empty beer cans on the ground near the market, the report said.
Vannucci's parole officer requested he be arrested for parole violation.
He was lodged at corrections, charged with third degree theft, first degree criminal trespass, offensive littering and the parole violation.
According to the report, Vannucci was trespassed from the store about a year prior for stealing.
The other man, also listed as transient, had an open beer and was issued a citation for drinking in public.
