Police: Man cut brother with Samurai sword during fight
GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- State police are asking for your help in finding a man who cut his brother with a Samurai sword in a motorhome.
Early Friday morning authorities were called to the 2400 block of NW Highland Ave. in the Grants Pass area for a reported stabbing.
Am investigation revealed that two brothers, Preston James Sweaney, 23, and Nathanial Sweaney, 21, were in a motorhome with another relative, Christian Burnison, 18, when a fight broke out between Preston and Nathanial.
Police say Preston was holding a Samurai sword and cut Nathanial's side and arm before fleeing on foot. Authorities say Christian also got cut on the hand while trying to intervene.
State police say Preston should be considered dangerous, and you should call 911 if you see him.
Authorities say he is wanted on a felony drug related warrant out of California and another warrant in Curry County.
Preston Sweaney is described as a white male, 5'9", 155 lbs, hazel eyes, and a scar on his chin and tattoos on his chest, right calf, and shoulder. When last seen leaving the scene he had a shaved head with a "Mohawk" strip, and was wearing blue jeans with white rear pocket stitching and no shirt.
Nathanial Sweaney was taken to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grant Pass for treatment.
Officials say the photo of Preston was taken in October, and his eyes are not usually crossed.
