Police K9 teams get 'Unleashed' in Roseburg

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- If you want to see some local police teams literally take a bite out of crime, Saturday is your chance.

The 2014 Police K9s Unleashed event kicks off at 1:00 pm at Legion Field across from Stewart Park.

Officials say you can come watch the police K-9s demonstrate their skills, and even have a chance to meet them.

The event will happen rain or shine, and there is no charge to attend.

Police K-9 teams from Roseburg and Douglas County will be there to demonstrate how they work.

It runs from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm, and officials say there will be shirts for sale.

They are asking people to please leave your pets at home.

The event is put on by the Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs.
